I just completed the kitchari cleanse with Jeanette’s helpful tips and guidance. I was familiar with it but was skeptical to try it, as it was very different from other cleanses and detoxes I’ve done in the past. I needed to kick start my new year especially after an indulgent holiday season. And with the cold, dark NY winter upon me, the idea of eating something warm and nourishing, like kitchari, was much more inviting than my typical cold smoothies and raw salads. It was delicious and satisfying and I rarely felt hungry. The hardest part was giving up my coffee. But after the second day, it got much easier! I started to sleep better than I had been in weeks! The CCFT tea was a nice ritual to add to my day. Jeanette’s recipes for Chai tea and stewed apples were delicious, kept cravings at bay and are now things I enjoy regularly. I felt lighter, happier and refreshed after the five days. Thanks, Jeanette, for all the help and love through this!
The kitchari cleanse was my first introduction to Ayurveda eating with Jeanette. I loved the ritual of making the kitchari each day – every day started with a calming routine to go along with the calming food. Jeanette was there for me throughout the cleanse when I needed a pep talk to get through and I finished it feeling clear and calm.
