Waking up today felt like a victory. I was almost done with my cleanse and felt refreshed, awake and alive. It reminded me of one of my favorite sayings “the only way out is through.” What I interpret this saying to mean is that you have to get through the uncomfortable parts of life to gain the benefit of the positive – which sums up the cleanse experience perfectly.
I was busy today planning for a road trip down from where I live North of San Francisco to Los Angeles but easily fit in my last day cleansing routine of warm water with lemon, meditation, kitchari, yoga and more kitchari. I have a lot of kapha in me which can manifest in my love of routine. ?
I then shook up my final cleanse day by hopping in the car for a six hour road trip. Have no fear it did not interfere with my cleanse as I packed my final batch of kitchari in a thermos I ate in a Denny’s parking lot on the road. There is always a way! I arrived in LA at my friends last night and ready for our trip to Mexico…and for my first cup of coffee tomorrow morning. I may of learned I don’t need it, but I’ve also learned I really like it so it will continue to be a part of my routine in moderation.
I hope sharing my cleansing journey has given you some insight into the process and inspired you to consider kick starting your year with a cleanse as well. It doesn’t need to be for five days. You can even start with one and see how you do. Reach out to me for more details about the cleansing program today and get 2017 off to a fresh start.
